our daughter got a dui and was according to her .06. if she can't afford an attorney is she appointed a public defender? if she pleads no contest any idea what'll happen?
Please understand we do not want her on the road and feel only blessed by the fact she was pulled over before she hurt or killed anyone.

This is my first and only DUI, I am in OH
I have paid all fines and fees
I am on inactive probation since 8/2007
I spoke with my former public defender, she stated it was a mistake and I should write a letter.

Is this all that I can do, how do I get this corrected immediately, Should I hire a lawyer to write the letter or make a call?

i crashed my car while driving under the influence. i did not hit anyone or hurt myself (thank God). As i was about to call a tow truck to tow my car , there comes the police. They asked me few questions which led to sobriety and breathelizer test. I scored 0.11 BAC above the legal limit, arrested and jailed for DUI. I will be going to court soon. My lawyer wants 00 to represent me in court? should i use my lawyer or just go with a public defender? what kind of fines/penalties am i gonna be expecting? what preparations should i make before the court date? this is my first dui case so any advice will be appreciated. trust me i've learnt DONT DRINK & DRIVE.

I Got a DUI last month in iowa..and i don't have an attorney. was wondering if there free attorneys in iowa .. Judge said they would help with a public defender but so far i havent heard from him/her.

In my relative's case it is a 00 dollar flat fee.

Are there truly any advatages over a less expensive general practice lawyer or over a PUBLIC defender?

I need to find a pro bono attorney for a DUI charge. I cannot afford to get an attorney an dont really want to use a public defender.
