I am a Electrical Engineering Student at CSULB. I have my BS in Electronics Engineering Technology, Master's of Buisness Administration (MBA), and I am currently 3 semesters away from obtaining my MS in Electrical Engineering - Power. I am planning on sitting for the PE - Electrical (Power) exam after I graduate (I have already passed the FE exam). Will my DUI conviction from nearly 3 years ago cause any problems? I have no other relevant convictions.
P.S. I will be applying to the California Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyours.

I have my US Visa Interview for a B2 Travel Visa on 13/03/2009 and I have a recent DUI conviction from a vacation in the US, I have a completely clean record apart from that and I have paid my fines. The Embassy's website says to take court records with me that show:
1. the nature of the offense(s) committed
2. the section(s) of law contravened
3. the actual penalty imposed.
What would be the best documents for me to take?
I have my Probation Order which shows my penalty imposed. I have my Notice to Defendant which shows the section(s) of the the law contravened. But the only thing I have that shows the nature of the offense committed (I take is this is the description of the events?? ) is a copy my plea bargain agreement that I was sent to sign. Will this be enough??? Is there some other document I should try and get hold of?

It doesn't matter if you are a truck driver, they are the ones typically asked is all. Bush is a public celebrity, and his DUI is well known.

I'm 16 years old and am being charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment(one for each minor in the car), one count of reckless driving, and one of a suspected marijuana-induced DUI. I do not own a license or a permit.
I was driving my girlfriend and two friends home from a party, because I was afraid otherwise they would have driven home with a drunk driver and possibly lost their lives. I didn't want that to happen. Anyway, I had smoked marijuana around 10PM and was on the road at around 1:30AM, and was (by my perception) completely sober.
I'm not an experienced driver by any means and was driving at night on a windy road with faint lines. I admit I was weaving a bit, but my girlfriend's car has horrible handling (extremely loose) and always weaves to the right for no apparent reason. Me, not being an experienced driver, was trying to constantly correcting this. I was also speeding up and slowing down (pressing down on the gas pedal and then releasing it to coast). There was 9-1-1 call from a car following us that suspected me to be driving under the influence.
I was pulled over by a police officer minutes later. I was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana. I failed two sobriety tests(the two leg ones), because because my muscles were so damn sore from playing basketball. Funny thing is I passed The Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test. According to the officer (who apparently is a Drug Evaluator Expert, so he can testify in court as an expert) my pupils were extremely dilated.
When I was brought into the station for booking, I took a breathalyzer with 0.00%BAC. I also took a urine test.
Now here are my questions:
What are my options?
If ANY amount of marijuana shows up on the urine test, is that enough for a DUI conviction?
What is the amount of marijuana that is needed to be found for a conviction?
Thanks for any help!

I understand you shouldn't be driving high on pot but lets say you get pulled over and the officers suspects you're high as a kite but doesn't smell it in the car.
There's no roadside test and testing for pot in general doesn't work because of the I did it a week ago excuse. In these instances I understand they can do a sobriety check but even if the individual fails there's still no physical evidence.
In court for a traditional DUI if the individual fails the sobriety check the actual breathalyzer is the physical evidence.
Is it possible for a prosecutor to get a DUI conviction for being high on marijuana if the defense has a lawyer as well.
Basically if with a competent defense attorney are there any scenarios where a prosecutor could successfully beat the defense? The big given there's no physical evidence other than a failed sobriety check but as I understand that in itself is meaningless without any additional evidence such as a breathalyzer.
How could prosecutor win this case against a competent defense attorney knowing there's no physical evidence?
"If you fail a field sobriety test that is good enough to convict"
I don't think so. For a normal DUI they need the breathalyzer to back it up... My scenario involves a good defense attorney, I think s(he) would tear that up.
The blood test would be meaningless, could have smoked pot a week ago.
Prose a scenario that a defense attorney or anyone with knowledge of the law could not refute
Is the answer there's no possible way to have a solid case in one of these scenarios?
The failed checkpoint could be a result of cold medication as a previous answer states.
Blood tests are meaningless in proving DUI at the time... despite if it tests concentration. Also I believe it's illegal to do blood tests or anything involving needles.
Blood tests at the time of the infraction are illegal and it would be an after the fact test if court order... this would prove nothing since it wasn't during the time of the infraction.
I have to consent to a blood test, without my consent there's nothing. You don't get the option of blood testing without my consent, who in their right mind would allow this invasive test to be done?

I was told that if you have a DUI conviction within the past ten years, it is Walmart's policy to prohibit sale of Sudafed. I was aware of limits to amounts one can get, but wasn't aware of a DUI rule.
