I'm having major problems getting my license reinstated because of my DUI..?

I was convicted of DUI on June 4, 2008 in Alabama. My license was suspended for 3 months and should have been reinstated on September 4, 2008. But- I had a Florida driver's license when I got the DUI, therefore, when I went to reinstate my license, they told me that I had to wait 3 more months because in Florida your license is suspended for 6 months for DUI for first offense. So, I had to abide by Florida DUI laws. In October I moved to Florida to be with my terminally ill father. I went to get a hardship license there and they would not accept my out-of-state papers to prove that I have taken the required DUI course that I took in Alabama, which is the only thing they needed. After that I couldn't get a job, couldn't drive. When my dad was put on a transplant list I moved back to Alabama, which is where I am now. They won't even give me an state ID because all I have is a social security card and my birth certificate.

While I was at the Alabama Driver's Division, I talked to a lady about reinstating my license. She told me that I would probably have to go to Florida, take my 2 day DUI course again. I can't afford to do that.

I don't understand what's going on and seems like no one else knows either. Has anyone been through this?

I got a Dui about a year ago and havent had a license, car, or insurance, since then–I just bought a car so..

...well actually my dad just gave me a car and I need to put it in my name but because I dont have a license or insurance Im not sure how to go about this. I know I have to have insurance to get my license back, and file an SR-22 with the state (Im in Calif.) but I just dont know what order to do this all in. Can someone give me some advice please? Thanks so much.

PS. I know getting a DUI is irresponsible and everything, believe me I do, so just serious responses to my above question will be greatly appreciated. : )

and possession of marijuana. Yesterday I got a DUI and driving with a revoked license. Both are in different counties in North Carolina. What can I expect
BTW...I am also diagnosed with depression, which is why i take the drugs. I have been seeking therapy for the past 2 years and i got off my meds when this happened
Also, my dad can get a really good lawyer...if that makes a difference

Do insurance companies pay for someone's else's DUI in my car?

Last night, my kid's dad went to buy some food and he totalled my car. They charged him with a DUI and went to jail for 4 hours. I have allstate full coverage on my vehicle and I was wondering if they would still cover my car even though i wasn't driving and he is not on the policy.

A DUI Arrest in a house.?

At six O' clock on saturday i went to my buddies house to hang out. When i got there two of my friends were there with a kid i dont even know and one of my friends was drinking a little, my other friends left to go see a movie and me and my one firend who had been drinking stayed and dropped a few. I Drank a lot of alcohol. (BAC = .287) when i was arrested. around 10 O'clock i woke up from being passed out by then my buddies dad was on his way home and his older brother was home and his older bro. friend was there. there was a knock at the door upstairs. It was two Idaho falls policeman we let them in i was in the bathroom throwing up. i was donwstairs they were upstairs, they asked to see me. so wheni was walking upstairs my buddies friend told me to not get him in trouble.( he DID NOT buy us the alcohol. they questioned me and asked me if i had driven here while dirnking i said: No he then said did you travel with the alcohol in your car i said : Yes to keep my friend safe.
the alcohol was at my friends house they came off a of a juvenile party and im under age. the people who can testifie to this all were not drinking. they searched my vehicle and there was no alcohol in it.

Okay, so I'm all for cracking down on driving while intoxicated, a friend of my dad's was killed by a drunk driver. However, I was wondering the other day... what if you're at a party and you're not drinking or have maybe only had one alcoholic drink, but someone slips some form of drug/narcotic into your drink before you leave to go home and as you're driving you start to feel the effects and are pulled over. If it is discovered that you do in fact have drugs in your system but you were completely unaware of it and couldn't tell at the time you got in your car, are you still held responsible? My initial thought would be yes simply because I am sure officers have heard that excuse a million times before. But are there any extreme extenuating circumstances for leniency?

Last night I was pulled over for "Failing to Maintain Proper Lane" at 2:30 in the am. The officer asked if I wore contacts then asked me to get out of my car. I ended up blowing a 0.053, but I'm only 20 and won't be 21 for 3 weeks. The legal limit for under 21 is 0.02. I was arrested and taken to the Forsyth County Jail. I never went into a cell. I was there for about 3 hours. They let me leave with my license and my keys. I drove home but I should I technically still have been drunk? Why did they not follow procedures? Is my license suspended? By time I go to court I will be 21. I am charged with DUI, underage consumption and Failure to maintain lane. Also, the cop was emailing on his laptop while driving me to the jail. Should I bring that up or not?
I had one drink. In 3 weeks a 0.053 will be ok. No, the cop was emailing on of his coworkers about his father and personal stuff. I read them.

Dad got a DUI, how much will my insurance go up?

I'm a 17 year old high schooler (turning 18 in Oct.) with an original quote for around 0 p/month on car insurance. I was astonished when I found out, but not even two months later my dad gets a DUI. How much will this make my insurance go up? Since i'm only a permit holder (getting my intermediate this summer), it depends on their policy. Its completely unfair I have to pay for his mistakes, even when I warned him. :c

What will happen if I am on my dads insurance and I get a second dui charge?

I was arrested in 2001 1st dui/ouil michigan, I went to the first hearing, 2nd hearing was rescheduled, 2 or 3 times which I had a series of surgeries from 2002 - 2005 or 06 still recovering however, Dad past away Nov. now, while taking chance to drive mom to the doctor in another city pulled over for back tail light out and arrested for warrant and now have court date Oct 3, and I have to call my home city regarding DUI/Warrant. What penalties and fines should I expect and I am on SS disability will this affect my income as well... I had legal counsel during the beggining of the dui....Now resources are low for counsel at this time....any reccomendations
