In your opinion, what are the ramifications of the D.U.I conviction of an individual who is employed in an industry that requires driving a vehicle?

Is a dui/dwi conviction transferable out of state? My move is Texas to Florida?
The conviction is a second offense after 10 years in Texas. I know that it's considered a second offense if under 5 years in Florida.

State farm is canceling my auto insurance after a company called ChoicePoint inc. reported info. from the DMV about reinstatement of license, Chemical test modification and Chemical test revocation. I was arrested for a first offense and plea bargained to jump though all the hoops, pay all fines in order for it not to result in a conviction. Are there any insurance companies out there that do not purchase info. from ChoicePoint?

I received a DUI on 8/31/1999. Conviction date was 11/23/1999.

I am about to go up to Georgia to be sentinced for a first time DUI conviction. I hold a Florida Driver's Licence and do not want the state to see the conviction. From what I was able to find, Georgia is not a DLC state which from my understanding means they are not hooked up to a centralized data base.

I was thinking before sentincing to go up to Georgia and apply for a Georgia Driver's licence. I have relatives up there so I can open a bank account and sign a lease. But what should I do at Georgia DMV? I was thinking I could report my current FL drivers licence lost, get a new one. Then, give Georgia the old one hoping they would not notify Florida that I turned in a licence? Sot this way I would have a Georgia licence to surrendor to the court and have my Florida licence to. I can not think of any other way to do this nor do I know if it will work. Any advice, suggestions, ect. would be greatly appreciated. Very confusing stuff. Thanks.
