When instructing young people to drive it is really important that you're fully prepared. The parent/teacher should also give encouragement and themselves be very comfortable with all safe driving procedures.
Before venturing out on the open road with the student make certain of a couple of things first. The first thing is you need to find out if you are old enough to teach somebody to drive. You must be over twenty-one years old. Have you had a driver's license for at least 3 years? Are learners insured to drive the car you will be using. Read through the latest Highway Code or even take an advanced driving course.
Is the learner driver ready to venture out onto the road? Do they have a provisional license. It is advisable that the learner has already had some basic lessons with a qualified driving instructor in a dual control car. They should also understand the first principles of driving. Always ensure you use a safe vehicle and get the learner to help you check the lights, brakes and tyres are functioning normally.
Have the training route planned out in advance. As it is a lot to take in for learners start with short routes. As the learner gains confidence venture out on longer trips. Also try and go out in different road conditions.Experience is needed of driving on a variety of road types - narrow to dual carriageway and in all weather conditions.
During driving practice, it is crucial to remain calm and give advice in a constructive manner. Give congratulations where it is deserved and avoid sarcasm. You should occasionally ask the learner to point out potential hazards. Make sure that the driver is reminded to use the indicators properly and look in the rear mirrors before carryout any manouveres. Good driving practices must be reinforced. In the event of a dangerous manouver pull over safely and discuss what occurred. At the end of the practice session discuss what occured in a positive manner.
If the driver is taught well the good driving habits they have learned will carry on over into the time when the drive on their own. Perhaps they can then pass the habits onto the next generation of drivers.
I just bought SR-22 liability car insurance yesterday for 5 which covers the first month. It was needed in order for me to get my license reinstated after a DUI. So i go to the DMV with my proof of insurance hoping to get my license back but find that my license is suspended still(for another 3 months). So now i have no use for the insurance that i just bought. Will i be able to get my money back?
I had my brother listed as a driver on my insurance policy and he is moving so will no longer be using my car. The insurance company is requiring that I show proof of insurance before removing him from the policy. They are telling me there is no other way to remove him from the policy due to a DUI charge. Is it even possible to get car insurance without a car? What should I do?
I have been in contact again with the insurance company and here is what they wrote back "The only proof we can accept to remove youthful driver's is Proof of
Other Insurance." What is the age limit on a youthful driver? My brohter is 24.
how can i get affordable car insurance after my spouse has DUI ? What if he choses to never get a license again? Do I have to kick him out so I can afford car insurance? I have a great driving record. HELP !!!!!!
We live in Florida.
My 1st time offense and hopefully the last, anyone no of a good car insurance that is reasonable in prices. I've been driving for 10 yrs and no tickets did have a clean record until this happened now I feel like a felon california DUI laws are too harsh bastards thats how they make money!!
My license was suspended due to lack of car insurance and I was granted limited driving privileges. I had to drive outside of the allotted time due to circumstances beyond my control. I was pulled over. What happens next? Will I completely lose my driving privileges? My car? The only information I can find online pertains to those whose license were suspended due to dui, mine was for lack of car insurance.
