My brother was arrested for a marijuana dui while we were in Las Vegas last week. What should we do?

My brother is not on my car insurance policy. He was pulled over and arrested for DUI and Failure to Maintain Lane. I want to know what kind of affect that will have on my insurance.
He was under the influence of drugs (pain pills).

I was convicted of a DUI in March of 2000. What happens if I get convicted of another DUI?

I just wanted to know if there is a "new" CA law that says I do mandatory jail time if I get convicted again. Is there a time frame? It will be 7 years this March so wondered if all priors get dropped after that?
lol...geez...glad so many people can judge...I was asking for a clarification of the law as I have a bet with my brother. I got dui when I was 28...I have not gotten behind the wheel with ANY alcohol in my system since. I rarely drink as my "partying" days are well behind me but thanks for all the concern from people so willing to judge...I asked for clarification on the law not advice to live by...lol...morons....

Does anyone know what the charge/fine is for a second DUI?

My brother in law got his second DUI last night (GEEZ). He got his first one under the age of 18... now he is 22. Does the punishment matter for the state (CA), or the circumstances... (he was in a drive thru and a cop went up to his window) or does anyone know where I can find out the info on punishment? Asking because my guy really wants his brother to move to where we live and get out of that black hole of destruction that is our home town... lol. Anyways, I hope he learned his lesson, I'm thinking he might have to sale his 1999 Toyota Tacoma to pay the fine, which I thought was a universal ,000.00 for a seconf offense. BUT I would appreciate any info.

AZ DUI Law – no blood test?

My brother got a DUI on Saturday. They never did a blood test only the breathalizer. Is that legal? Can they legally charge him with a extreme DUI or any DUI at that?
He said they never mentioned a blood test. Never asked so he never refused. The first cop's breathalyzer wasn't working so he called back up so he could use the other officers. He said that the police was very nice. He was pulled over for going 58 in a 45. There was no accident or anything. The officer apparently thought he was showing signs of drinking so he did the sobriety tests.

How do you get proof of car insurance without a car?

I had my brother listed as a driver on my insurance policy and he is moving so will no longer be using my car. The insurance company is requiring that I show proof of insurance before removing him from the policy. They are telling me there is no other way to remove him from the policy due to a DUI charge. Is it even possible to get car insurance without a car? What should I do?
I have been in contact again with the insurance company and here is what they wrote back "The only proof we can accept to remove youthful driver's is Proof of
Other Insurance." What is the age limit on a youthful driver? My brohter is 24.

What does the Army Disqualify?

Is a ( ARMY) waiver needed for arrests or convictions only? My brother was arrested for marijuana & DUI in 1999. He never went to court and was never charged but was arrested. He went to DUI school to remove points off his driver's license in 1999. Will Army require a waiver even though he was never convicted? This arrest doesn't show up on the state criminal background check. Will it show up on a FBI background check? Does the ARMY disqualify for arrests or convictions?Thank You

My boyfriend and I are planning to move to florida after he gets off probation for his dui here in michigan. since were moving to a nicer climate and gas prices keep going up and up, he wants to get a bike. Being that my mother is an ex ray tech and Im parinoid already having lost my brother, father and step father (rightfullly so i think) I dont want him to bc theyre dangerous! Im hoping the insurance rate for a 25 yr old male w a dui would stear him away from it consitering hes also going to have plpd on his car as well. Is there anyone around tampa, about 25, have have one and about how much do u pay? and if you have a dui thats even better lol

My brother in law and I were having a discussion regarding DUI. I said on all resumes that ask, you have to mention if you have ever had a DUI no matter how long ago. He says that you do not once it is off your record. Does it come off your record? After how long? Do you have to state it on your resume? Please let me know who is right?

My brother will be 21 later this year. He has two previous charges of possession of marijuana (one was while in care and control of a vehicle) which were both let off. He has recently been charged with both a DUI and impaired charged. Also, with those charges, he has fleeing the scene of an accident, and harassing an officer. He was seriously hurt, but refused EMT. There was one witness who is testifying that he should get charged a maximum penalty. His only defense is that when they arrested him from his girlfriends house, his mom did not give permission for the cops to go into his house. What do you think he is going to get in terms of punishment?
