As long as it's not a felony, you should be ok, but just to be on the safe side, make sure the courthouse didn't post your record as "adjudicated"…
Most companies do background checks now but unless you are going to be driving company vehicles, there shouldn't be a problem with you getting a job. They may want to talk to you about it a little just so they know that you have cleaned yourself up a bit and that they can rely on you but should be nothing more.
Well it doesn't really show how responsible you are now does it. It makes it harder, expecially in the state you got the misdemeanor. but not impossible, don't apply for jobs that have to do with driving for sure.
