You will probably be able to join, because you will have to get waiver for the two dui’s.
Driving while intoxicated (DWI), driving under the influence (DUI), or driving while impaired because of substance abuse, alcohol, drugs, or any other condition that impaired judgment or driving ability. Waiver approval authority is the recruiting battalion commander, acting commander, or executive officer. If the applicant has two DWIs/DUIs and one of them is longer than five years from date of enlistment, a waiver may be approved by the Commanding General of the Army Recruiting Command.

It really shouldn’t ,, the army takes drunks and drug addicts.
not much… u may not be able to drive the hum-v? .. but you can still join .. if on probation then you may have some trouble but ..if not they take just about anyone that can pass the drug test!
Since it has been a while since you had the DUI’s, I don’t think it will affect you. Talk to your recruiter, and he/she can probably tell you if there will be a problem. I had a friend who was actually given the choice of jail (because of so many DUI’s) or the Army. He joined the Army, and they wiped the slate clean so I think they would overlook yours.
Let me put it this way.
A friend of mine was charged and about to go to jail for felony theft. He joined the army and now has a clear record.
If you want to get out of trouble or get a job that doesn’t care about the trouble you have been in, then the Army is for you!
Think about it, they are desperate for troops! Recruiting is down. They will take almost anyone!
well good thing ur goin 2 the army! that is basically a shelter for the drunks, drug addicts, and bums who r U.S citizens…now dont even try going 2 the marines or navy
You spent collage money to join the army to go get shot…
Their ganna love you..dont worry about a DUI
I think you are amirable for considering the service. You have had some problems – and paid a high price. Probably from lack of family support or maybe not. At any rate, the fact that you are thinking of it knowing how rigid it is and the self discipline it will require shows strength and motivation.
I don’t know the actual policy, but 6 years is quite a long time. I don’t know what else you’ve done (good or bad) but give it a shot.
My daughter (now 23) chose to go into the AirForce at age 17 (on the brink of big problems) and now she is a secret service agent, has her degree and is in her 7th year and makes good money.
However – she saw lots of kids go in and screw it up. It takes discicpline and getting your attitude adjusted. If you toe the line, there are a lot of opportunities for you.
Good Luck!

They do affect it anything with breaking the law will affect being able to join the military. You can get a waver. My husband had 2 and they let him join it will just take a little longer for you to get the ball rolling. It will affect what you get to choose for your mos. Well that is what they told my husband. Good luck
