If it asks if you have been convicted of any misdemeanors or anything other than a traffic violation (as in moving violation such as speeding or disregard traffic signal), yes you do need to claim it. If it asks for only convictions that involve a crime of moral turpitude, such as theft, then no. But usually with misdemeanors that are not crimes of moral turpitude, like DUI, you will get a chance to explain. They would probably contact you about it if they felt it might be an issue.

**Misdemeanors are NOT history after 6 months. I am a misdemeanor prosecutor and they are still relevant on your record for 10 years. Just answer the call of the question honestly or you will be in trouble for lying. They are more likely to not give you the certificate if you lie and try to pass off you don't than if you answer their question honestly.

if it asks for felonies, no. but if it asked if you have ever been arrested, yah you have to tell then. but it is not a felony. so if thats the only thing on your record, then no you have not been convicted of a felony. now im not sure if it will show up when they do your criminal check tho.

They cannot ask if you have been arrested–

Technically speaking, the employer would have to prove that the conviction limits your ability to do the job or is directly related to the job. Unless you are going to drive students around, it really should not matter.

it depends how long ago the misdemeanor happened, just answer no, if it comes up, and it shouldn’t, because misdemeanors are history after 6 months, just say,oh that, it was so long ago.
