Can receiving a misdemeanor DUI affect someone’s application for citizenship?

I know that Crimes of Moral Terpitude will effect your application. Is a DUI a crime of moral terpitude? I have a friend who was going to accept a plea, but the plea said that it would effect his application for citizenship. I'm just curious if his application would be denied. ...
