as long as you didnt lie on the application….then you are fine…if you lied..your gone..regardless of how small the lie
Rich F knows of what he speaks. When I sat in the hiring chair a lie on an application or resume was sudden death. I have refused to interview people because they lied on their application. Their paperwork went straight from the mail box to the circular file receptacle, you know, the one that is emptied nightly.
If you get an interview, just be straight with the interviewer. You were young, you screwed up, you have accepted the consequences, and want nothing more than to put your childhood behind you.
BTW don't use the term "crappy job". You were working at a job where you were overqualified, and underpaid. And don't whine about your situation. Remember you are trying to make it through the consequences of your actions, that means you are an adult, so act like one.
