What should I say when I call up a law firm to try and get an attorney?

I was busted for a DUI, possesion of marijuana, and an underage drinking ticket. I'm 18 years old and am not getting help from my parents. My brother told me I need to get an attorney, but when I call the law firm I'm not really sure what I should say. ...

Just say that you’re looking to hire an attorney to represent you on a DUI charge. They’ll ask you some questions and set up an appointment. Easy as pie.

get a lawyer who knows the courts you are going in front of

the lawyers know certain judges by name~and play golf with them
also they know what sets the judge off~~and what buttons not to push

find a savvy lawyer who is not to hip and one with an established firm
and takes DUI cases on a regular bases~don’t get a tax lawyer to
    fight a DUI case

Don’t worry about what to say~~these *sharks* have receptionist
who don’t waste their time and will direct you to the right lawyer

I have a free lawyer from the UAW Auto Union~~and they are very good
but they too can only work with the local judges and advise anyone
going to court~~get a lawyer who knows the court and the judge

Yes, you DO need an attorney. Tell them exactly what you told us. They’ll set up an initial consultation to meet with you and get all the facts of your case and advise you on how to proceed.

Here is an article on this very topic: http://www.lawfiles.net/finding-your-next-lawyer-a-how-to-guide/

It describes how to find a lawyer and then what to ask the lawyers you decide to interview.
