The consequences of using drugs are much worse than what the court system is about to do to you. And every state is different. I know that California has very stiff penalties for DUI’s. The state I live in didn’t throw the book at me but I kind of wish they would have.
Depends on what state you live in. Some states it’s handled similarly to an alcohol related DUI, other states have special DUID enhancements.

if you are stupid enough to get stopped for either-one the a year in jail just may be enough time to open up your eyes to see that’s its WRONG

Depends on the state but they may also send you to a drug rehab’ centre as part of any probation conditions.
