Seems like an important question to ask regarding the new measure to legalize marijuana in CA A link to the statistics would be great ...

No, it has even gone down a little. No connection I’m sure.
Its pretty hard to assess the stats on that…. I believe in Cali they still test for marijuana using urine, which does not measure actual impairment.
You ALWAYS have to be careful when looking for stats on dui relating to marijuana. Its also the same way in my state, NC. If you are tested by any measure (urine, hair, blood, or saliva) and test positive you will be charged with dui. But that creates a problem with the stats because most of those tests can detect use from weeks or even months ago.
Same thing with er statistics. Any patient who reports any level of marijuana use is currently listed as a marijuana related visit, whether the visit has anything to do with marijuana or not. For example, if I go to the er because I accidently splashed photo chemicals in my eye, and report that I use marijuana occasionally to make sure they dont give me any meds that would be dangerous with marijuana use, the visit would be reported as a marijuana related visit.
I don’t know where the link is but a couple months ago they announced it’s the lowest rate of DUIs in the state since the 50s.
There are sooo many laws that will have to change if Cannabis is made legal. How can you tell if somebody is smoking a cigarette or a joint while driving – what if kids are in the car ( I think should be illegal anyways to smoke with kids in the car ) … how can you tell if the person was truly under the influence or smoked two weeks earlier … I can imagine there is going to be a lot of research that still needs to be done !
Here is a link that I found
