i want to join the military. i have 2 duis and 1 possesion of marijuana charge.?

I got these on my record 7 years ago for the dui's and 5 years ago for the marijuana. is it possible to get these lowered to a lesser crime and/or get them removed from my record so that i can join the military? OR is my shot to get in just done regardless of weather or not i get them removed?


I have a BA now and my life has completely changed since then so don't reply with dumb comments - please =)

    Go talk to a recruiter and talk to him about it. They will let you know what to do if you really wanna get in.

    And drug conviction is a perminant and nowaiverible disqualification from military service.

    A few years ago when the war was at it’s peak I bet you could have got in at least in the Army but now since the military is pretty full and will be down sizing soon you might not be able to get in. Best thing to do is talk to your local recruiter of the branch you want to join or talk to all the branches and see what they can do to help you get in.
