I have a dui in 2008 and an old possession of marijuana charge from 1994. Plus I am 33. No military for me?
I know, it's bad. Iv'e made some mistakes. But I have a Bachelors and an MBA and really want to serve, even if its not as an officer right away. Is it possible to get into any of the forces with two charges at age 33. They don't seem very interested in me. ...

your age is more of a deterrent then your past………..
DUI can hurt if you apply job that requires you to drive all the time, such as CDL license. But if you are already in probation and fulfilling your ordered commitment from the court, that should not prevent you from applying the military job, unless it is driving job. Everyone makes mistake and there is a penalty for it to be restored… I’d suggest you to go ask your local recruiter for more details.
It’s not as easy to get into the military as one might think, even if you are young and have no record.
As for your age, you could join active duty Army (max age 42 ), Army Reserves – 42, Army National Guard – 42, Air Force Reserve – 34, Air National guard – 34, Active duty Navy – 34, or Navy Reserves – 39. You have passed the maximum age limits for active duty air force and marines.
But as to whether they’ll take you with a record, only your recruiter can tell you for sure.
The military may not seem interested, but they will honestly take what they can get.
Although the person may be a slacker, they will technically be molded into what the military wants them to be–that is their job.
I wouldn’t lose sleep over it, they will probably determine whether or not the qualifications outweigh the mistakes… if they do…
good luck
