Can I get into AFOTS with a DUI and Marijuana Possession charge on my record?
Both arrests are misdemeanors. The DUI occurred two years ago which leaves me on probation for one more year. The possession charge occurred nearly six years ago. Assuming I do well on the required tests, is there still a chance?
while you are on probation you are not qualified at all.
as for afterward.. your chances of getting a Commission are pretty slim. A DUI ENDS any current career, having one already does not bode well. you have a Non tech degree although the GPA helps to balance that out.
the AF has ever been VERY picky.. you have two strikes with drugs and alcohol.. the Military’s ZERO tolerance policy on both is just that.. ZERO tolerance.
have a back upplan.
You can’t join any branch of service while on probation unless it is unsupervised probation for some minor crimes. DUIs aren’t one of them. As for your drug charge, the Army isn’t taking anybody with a drug charge and if we won’t take you then it is HIGHLY unlikely the Air Force would.
i have no idea srry l0l
n i jsut got to pionts frmo doin nuthin haha
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say no.
In order to become a commissioned officer, you are going to need at least a secret clearance. You’re going to have a hard time getting into any branch of the service, let alone as an officer, let alone the Air Force, with a drug charge and a DUI. Both are serious offenses, even if they are classified as misdemeanors.
