Doctors are not allowed to, and do not, write prescriptions for marijuana. They can recommend it, but they cannot and do not prescribe it. You can be convicted of DUI in this state anytime you are driving under the inlfuence of drugs and those drugs impair your ability to operate a motor vehicle. It does not matter if it's marijuana or Valium or Tylenol - if it impairs you, you can be convicted of DUI. So the doctor's recommendation isn't going to make any difference.
