Would I still need to keep the insurance up on my truck if my license was suspended for DUI?

I was wondering if I still need to keep my insurance during the suspension period or do I cancel it and then wait till the end of my suspension period. I got my DUI on May 6th. I guess for now I'm sticking to riding a bicycle anytime I want to go somewhere which it takes longer but at least it gets ...





I was wondering if I still need to keep my insurance during the suspension period or do I cancel it and then wait till the end of my suspension period. I got my DUI on May 6th. I guess for now I'm sticking to riding a bicycle anytime I want to go somewhere which it takes longer but at least it gets the most gas mileage of any vehicle which is infinity miles per gallon.

    Keep the insurance so your state won’t suspend your plates. Even if you don’t drive you can still use your truck with a different driver.

    I would if I could. I’m sure they insurance company will gladly take your money while you don’t drive. Otherwise, you will have a gap in coverage, and that will jack your rates way more than whatever you might save over the next six months. Always keep your car insured if possible or you will be screwed over badly as a gap in coverage will jack rates way up.
