What’s a cheap insurance i can use considering that i got a dui?

I got a DUI back in march 2nd of this year (2009). My lawyer tried to fight it, but it didn't help, so my license is currently suspended. In order to get a restricted license, i need to show proof of insurance. Knowing that i have a dui on my record, what's the best option i have ? ...

lol had to laugh at the other dude that posted ALLSTATE! they rape people on police premiums and with a dui they will slaughter you with outrageous high risk costs. if you call them you will see, if i were you, i would go with GEICO. they are a large corporation and they can afford to keep premiums affordable, call em and check em out. you can do it at geico.com as well. they will the cheapest, you can also try US general, a high risk outfit, google them for the number, Us general specializes in high risk etc. when you have a sketchy driving record like me, and you, just shop around, you have to go with the large outfits as they can absorb higher risk folks.. good luck!

You are high risk, expect to pay in blood!

Cheap, and DUI do not fit into the same sentence. You will pay dearly for the next 3 years.

The only chance for getting "cheap" (and I use the term loosely) would be to try a discount insurance company like The General or Safe Auto. Since you are a high risk driver, even companies like those will cost an arm and a leg. They might charge less than Esurance or Allstate, but they will still be expensive.

If it’s your first DUI, and you have great credit, Progressive is hands down going to be the cheapest company. They look at a first DUI with great credit as just an "oops" that probably won’t happen again.

If you don’t have great credit, or it’s not your first, you’ll have to shop around to see who’s cheapest – but they should all be in the same ball park.
