What if you got a DUI in a different state, but got your license back?

What if you a got a DUI 4yrs ago, got you license back, and now you're moving to Georgia. Do you have to do anything different to change your license? And what about SR22 insurance? Do you need it, and if so, for how long?

Nothing, the DUI period is over for most states and insurance. 3 years is the time frame. If you have your license back and are moving to another state, just go into that DMV and get a new license. If you need anything like a SR22 they will let you know and then you just tell your insurance company and they will forward the SR22. Those are just a courtesy sent by the insurance company to prove financial responsibility by you. Stop worrying about it, it’s over, they gave you your license back silly! Georgia can do nothing to you because of something that happened in your driving record in the past and it has been resolved. The only thing they could do would be to enforce the probation of the DMV if you still had one.
Be Safe and don’t get any more then they will be after you!
