The cost of your insurance sometimes turns out to be less when you have speeding tickets etc! The DUI will never show in their database because you are officially not convicted of a DUI when the charge is dropped against you. However, if you lapse on payments and have to reinstate your policy, they do ask you if your license has ever been suspended and why. I don’t know what a "diversion" is though. When my license was suspended, nothing changed with my insurance policy since I was already locked into a premium.

The best way is to call the insurance company and ask them. They might lower your premium if you explain the situation, as you are now officially non-conviction case and there is no ground rule for them to put you in high premium rate.
