yea it happened to me as well. the insurance co. can have you sign a form stating you wont drive their cars or be covered on their insurance thats what I had to do to keep my folks rates the same
It’s definitely legit. See if your parents can have you listed as an excluded driver on their policy. It might help to lower their rates. That means you can never drive any of their cars. If you do and have an accident, the insurance will be canceled.
