I was arrested for a weed dui and spent the night in jail recently. I was told to call the court with a docket number every week to check up on the status of my case. When I called the other day, I was told that I was not charged as of last week and was done with the court and do not have to call back any more. Does that mean I get to keep my driver's license? What happens to my driver's record? Insurance?

No one here can possibly answer your question(s). For one thing you failed to mention which country/state/province issued the ticket. I have a brilliant idea…… Why not call the court and ask them to spell it all out for you?

That could be an interesting story to tell the judge when you are arrested on a bench warrant for not showing up for your court hearing. I advise you to contact a supervisor or, better yet, go to the court house and get something in writing. Charges just don’t "disappear".
