You can drop the car if you don’t own it, and someone else can claim it on their insurance policy (like a parent). However, they HAVE to report you as a driver and they will find out about your DUI. I would recommend shopping around for insurance…a lot of policies are lower than you might expect for a first DUI. Don’t drive without insurance though…it will be so much worse!
