I have a DUI, I had an SR-22 filed with my insurance company. My insurance never went up, is that normal?

Am I required to carry some sort of form? The DUI was almost 3 yrs ago. They know I have the DUI cause I called them for the SR-22 and they gave me it. ...

Sometimes the company wont run your record on renewal. It is rare that your insurance would not go up, however it is not the first time that I have heard of that happening. Maybe you had some other tickets that dropped off your record when the dui came onto your record, another reason may have been that the company hade a rate " revision" where they had a company wide reduction in premium… there are so many factors that come into play, however if you have an sr22 on file with the dmv and your license is current you should be okay. If you are in the state of California, you can call the dmv at 916-657-7780 and they will tell you if your license is active or not. You may get a busy signal, but just hang up and call back until you get a ring—you will be the next person in cue—they are pretty freindly and helpful there. Hope this helps

It wont go up until your renewal comes up, which is when the company will run your driving record and the DUI will come up and then your payment will go up.

no…you do not pay for an SR22 filing…you pay higher premiums due to the points on your record from the DUI. if it has been over 3 yrs then its possible the points are already off your record and you just need to continue to carry the SR22 filing for the required amount of time.
