How can they put a dui count on your license for a drug charge?

MY boss was set up by a ex employee who planted drugs on his property then called the police on him. He pled guilty to avoid going to a jury trial and possibly go to jail. They put dui points on his clean driving record and to keep from our company loosing our insurance we had to fire him. He is class A CDL driver and we need him and he can't even drive for us. What can be done.
Yeah everybody convicted of drugs is "set up". Driving is a privilege, not a right. Many states are now suspending licenses for any drug conviction. It is a safety issue on the roads.
He can’t drive for anyone for a few years until the points come off his record. Time to hire another driver.
