I was convicted of a DUI and soon I'll be eligible for a resticted license. I have to have an ignition interlock device installed, and file an SR-22 with my insurance company (Anchor General Insurance). I have not told them yet as I am not yet eligible. I called and they said that they do accept people with DUIs. I am currently paying per month for full coverage. I'm male, 29 years old. How much can I expect my insurance cost to rise once I file the SR-22?
I live in California

Asking an insurance company is the only way you may ever know the answer. No person here get the clear idea.Call around !

man you need to settle down and stop giving all your money away.

you know what they say about fools and their money.
you need to sell your car if is an expensive car.

and then buy a car good used car for about $3500 and only get liability ins on it.

Cut all your down as much as you can.

when you spend all you $ on Apt rent , car payments , $150 a month car ins, cell phone , cable TV. internet , etc.

you are just working to pay the monthy bills.

You need to stop thinking about how much a month things cost and can you make the monthly payment .

And start thinking about why you are working for money and then throwing it all away every month on monthly payments for everything..
