For the DUI, he faces a mandatory 10 days in prison up to 12 months (only 9 if his BAC was under .15), a fine of $1,000 to $2,000, a mandatory 5 year suspension, car impounded for 30 days. For the accident while impaired alone, it’s a first degree misdemeanor which carries up to a year in prison and/or a $1,000 fine. The hit and run aspect is just a traffic ticket, since there was no injury.
its clear you did not kick his ass the first time, that is your role, to help teach your children right from wrong, so hopefully they will throw the book at him, we want him off the streets, clearly you can;t control him
When I was a kid there was one thing in this world I feared more than the law, and that was my father. I don’t know if you are the mom or the dad, but one of you needs to put some fear into your kid. The next time he goes for the judge it might be felony manslaughter. In Florida, that’s 15 years.
He deserves everything he gets. Admit you did a lousy job of raising this juvenile delinquent and let him accept the consequences of his actions, which, clearly you and he have never done in the past.
