Here's the deal: My idiot cousin just got a second DUI in Idaho. His first DUI was around March in Oregon, and he is still on probation. His first offense all he did was promise to take AA classes. And I'm just hoping this time around he might actually learn something... perhaps, hopefully, even serve jail time. I was wondering what are the penalties for a second offense?

I know that DUI laws vary in each state, but if you know anything about Idaho DUI laws, that would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the sad truth you get what you pay for ,and like any other service this applies to the legal prossess and counsell as well. If he has 3 or 6 thousand dollars he'll be able to bribe his way out of it"they call it court cost" he needs to find the lawyer who has the ear of the sitting judge in said juristiction, usually one can ask the prosecutor's office"every one needs their cut you see"they will put it off for a year or more and cancell your hearing every couple of weeks so the "court cost" add up till the legal interest are satisfied with their take and let you go when they feel you've been properly fleeced.
