I was arrested in 2001 1st dui/ouil michigan, I went to the first hearing, 2nd hearing was rescheduled, 2 or 3 times which I had a series of surgeries from 2002 - 2005 or 06 still recovering however, Dad past away Nov. now, while taking chance to drive mom to the doctor in another city pulled over for back tail light out and arrested for warrant and now have court date Oct 3, and I have to call my home city regarding DUI/Warrant. What penalties and fines should I expect and I am on SS disability will this affect my income as well... I had legal counsel during the beggining of the dui....Now resources are low for counsel at this time....any reccomendations

Well, considering that you’re typing this, I’d assume that you posted your bail, which means that you have enough money for an attorney. Now go and hire an attorney and deal with the matter. No court cares what happened in the last 6 years. They only care that you did not appear and that you are a CONFIRMED flight risk.
The District Attorney in the county will likely put an offer that you plead to the DWI with probation, fines, jail or a combination of all of the above. Fines can range from $350 and up.
Now take care of your case, stop making excuses for yourself and gain some personal accountability.
