George is right your job is gone your license will be suspended and probably get probation. But at least nobody died.
If your job requires a CDL, could loose your job. Most OTR truckers are required CDL and I imagine you are too.
Best not to drink and drive. I been a cop and EMT for over 25 years and have seen the results of drunk drivers and innocent people. Don’t take long pulling dead kids from vehicles to get hard hearted and have no sympathy for drunk drivers.
if this occured in your vehicle and not during work time first of all maybe a few hours in jail up to a night if happened mon-thurs.their is a option to bail. penalties- fines 1,000.00 plus attend dui classes and court probation just a slap in the wrist. next time order a cab or just crash out till you sober up think smart be safe
I don’t think a .21 is anything to worry about. You will probably lose your license for 3 months or so but I don;t think you will get fired. Unless you drive a company vehicle I would just keep my mouth shut., and pray they don’t find out.

You will loose your license, Your employer will be notified. DMV contacts the company with a letter about the infraction. By DMV DOT law you are supposed to tell your employer immeadiately.

You won’t be driving a truck for a long time. If you were in Pepsi’s truck and a BAC .21? … You like Corcoran, Wasco or Pelican Bay? It’s a little cooler up there. This brings up a very important issue, if you are an Airline Pilot you can still fly, a Dr. can still Practice Medicine a Lawyer can practice Law and even a Drug Counselor doesn’t lose their License.
