I'm 20, so what can I expect with the underage DUI penalties? I blew a BAC of .154. I also received a ticket for not having my driver's license in possession. I did not have my license on me, therefore I did not receive the pink slip.
I was not at fault because he ran a stop sign and was speeding. I was not.
If he was found at fault the fact you were drunk doesn’t change his liability. He’ll still have to pay unless your actions added to the accident.
The insurance my settle with ‘no fault’ claim, your insurance will then cover any damages.
His insurance should cover for your damages your insurance rate might go up however due to the dui and since u r underaged to drink then your licence will most likely be suspended untill you are 25. The pink slip u were given which serves as a 30 day licence permitt tells you the convinvtions so read it it should give you more info on the penalties.
That’s Karma. . .
This will depend on what kind of insurance you have. "No Fault" insurance means your insurance pay the other guy and his insurance pays you. If you do not, then neither insurance company may be on the hook. Since you were both drunk, and can be argued that neither of you should have been driving. Therefore, it does not matter who actually caused the accident.
Damage costs are actually the least of your problems. You will probably get hit with a couple stiff fines, you will probably lose your license, and your insurance company is going to drop you like a hot rock. Your new insurance company will charge you considerably more money for coverage than the old company did.
You were driving drunk at twice the legal limit; count on this haunting you for three to five years. That, of course, is assuming you don’t do anything else this stupid.
How can you be found "not at fault" when your reading was almost twice the legal limit ??? That in itself constitutes fault no matter what…hopefully a lesson has been learned
Anytime your blood alcohol is over the legal limit while driving, you are DUI. Period. You rightly should have gotten a ticket, you blew .154 for goodness sake.
Whether your insurance will cover anything depends on the insurance laws in your state, and the specifics of your particular insurance policy.
You need a good DUI lawyer right away, not a bunch of random strangers on Yahoo.
