My friend had given me permission to drive us back home from a party...we were both drunk..she gave me permission to drive her car, obviously a big mistake which I regret making..while turning on a street we were hit by a taxi cab..he had the right a-way..I was issued a DUI..the taxi driver wasn't hurt..we had very minor injuries..a few scratches and chest pain. I then come to find out my friend did not have insurance on her car..or a valid registration...will I be responsible for all this other mess? I wasnt taken to jail..just issued a DUI ticket...her car got impounded and now she's blaming me for wrecking her car....even though she allowed me to drive it..KNOWING i was drunk ?? I was cited a 23152(A)...what are the penalties for all this mess?
