Agree – don’t hire a lawyer. Save your money for cabs and bus fare. The punishment for first offenders is almost universally the same unless you blow .20 BAC or higher, or hit something.
Fine ~$2000, 3 month DUI program, some community service, license suspended for 4 months. Call a lawyer for a free consult if you want but it is almost never worth the expense.

A fine with community service-skip the lawyer.

From what I've been hearing from people that are, or just went through it, its about a $1600-2000 fine/charge, about a 90 day license suspension and mandated alcohol classes.

By the time you pay the fine, increased insurance cost, court costs and other incidental cost the total is going to be in the neighborhood of $10,000. And you deserve every penny of it. You could have killed innocent people. Think about this the next time you decide to get behind the wheel. Good luck.
