My boyfriend has a third offense DUI charge. I was wondering if convicted of this, how much jail time is he?

looking at or is there an alternative like house arrest or something like that?

    Dam people are so mean. Depends on where how drunk he was did he resist was anyone hurt or anything damaged. Also in what time period and was his license suspended

    Knew someone in NJ had more then one the guy lost his lic for 6 months
    paid a lot of fines, had to go to AA, but no jail time. Some places i think
    do community service ( remember might ducks )

    My exp in traffic court ( for speeding dui maybe different ) is that its about money was told "as long as the town gets their money" while negotiating a plea that knocked off the points and allowed me to avoid 10 day suspension. Given the stakes def get a lawyer ( legal aid if u need )

    When i was in court guy before me had I think a valid defense but belligerent attitude that signs were misleading cop read the radar print out he lost. Worse thing he can do is be like i was not drunk when they got the test to prove he just insulted the court. There should be range on summons or available from a lawyer or maybe the states web
    site that gives a range of penalties a judge can select. Do u have kids
    is taking care of an elderly parent these things can help. Admitting to a drinking problem and going to rehab/AA might help

    Not enough info. It depends on on far apart the charges were and which state he got arrested in.

    Jesus, why in the hell are you dating a person who cares NOTHING for anyone but himself? The 3rd DUI he’s had. He’s that much of a jackass that he is willing to put everyone’s life in jeopardy so he can get tanked? You are saddling yourself with a loser and you will get hurt.

    All I can honestly say, is that I hope once your boyfriend gets out and starts drinking & driving again, the only person he kills is himself.

    He’s a complete moron, and deserves to be locked up for a long time.

    God I hope he’s put away for a long time! Get that potential murderer off the streets. Hopefully in prison he will get mandatory alcohol counseling. He sounds like a very sick dude.

    In my state, the minimum sentence is one year in prison and the maximum is 6 years in prison. Other states are different.
