Can I get my passport revoked for a first offense DUI?
I got a 0.09 last night and was under the influence. My court date isn't for another month. Can my passport be revoked and/or are there any countries I can't enter after arraignment or my court date? ...

To the guy who said most states require 48 hours in jail …. bull. In most states that I have lived in they let you out in the morning or when you post bail.
To you….. it has no impact on your passport. If you commit a major crime the judge and only the judge can order you to surrender it as a condition of bail. If convicted of a major crime then there can be conditions regarding travel regarding probation. A DUI will not preclude travel to anywhere. So forget about the passport thing.
Now the DUI though. You were just over the limit. Get a lawyer. If you can’t afford one go court alone and ask for it to be continued until you can show w. one. In that time you can figure out how to get one. A lawyer can do much and can save you untold thousands later. Insurance is a big one since this can cost for years. Another is if convicted years from now you could just have had a couple of glasses of wine w. dinner and get busted again. The second charge will kill you. He might get it reduced to a reckless if you agree to classes and such.
Don’t cheap out here. You want at the minimum a $2000 lawyer. I had a great one way back for this charge. I first checked out a really cheap one but was later refered to a very expensive one who I went w. in the end.
The same day and outside of the same courtroom I saw the cheap lawyer w. a client who was crying. She had blown less than me and she was being shafted w. the prosecutor deal.
My lawyer? He already had paper for an appeal ready. It took him 15 minutes in court to get it dropped and the fact that I had been charged dropped.
I figured out that I saved over $15,000 in insurance. Plus saved me from the DUI on my record in regard to employment background checks.
Sorry I diverged. Point is again…… you can travel at will even if convicted.
No, it is not a felony. Even if you were "convicted", it would not matter.
You are out of jail already?
Most states require a mandatory 48 hours.
What does your passport have to do with anything?
Or are you not a citizen?
No,Your passport has nothing whatsoever to do with your drivers license.
If it’s your first DUI, I highly recommend you contact an attorney, you may be able to avoid a conviction (some states at least have supervision provided you comply with all the requirements of the supervision which results in no conviction).
