Will a DUI and an underage disqualify me from the military?

I got an underage when I was 18 in April of 2000. I also got a DUI in May of 2007 and was also charged with open container along with the DUI. Have had no other problems with the law. Will this disqualify me from enlisting in the Navy? ...

    No it won’t you will have to get a waiver though. I’m going to Navy boot camp in September, and I got a DUI in 2002 when I was 20 years old. It did make it tough though. A lot of paper work and jumping through hoops.

    It may, it may not. I’m not too familiar with the Navy’s current policy on DUIs. The Army may let you in with a waiver, since the worst charge you have is the DUI and it was over three years ago. Can’t speak for the other branches, but if you was 18 in 2000 that makes you 28 now and too old for the Air Force and Coast Guard, with you being on the borderline with the Marines.
