What are the rules for Canadians with DUI/DWIs crossing into the states?

My bf was now formally convicted of DUI. He is Canadian I am American. I want to know if he can still cross into the states even though he now has been convicted. I have heard that people can and cant cross. I was reading about the laws and a DUI in the states is not considered a crime of moral turp...





My bf was now formally convicted of DUI. He is Canadian I am American. I want to know if he can still cross into the states even though he now has been convicted. I have heard that people can and cant cross. I was reading about the laws and a DUI in the states is not considered a crime of moral turpitude, and can not bar entry into the US. Can some one clear this up for me? I just want him to come down for the 4th of July. :(

    Leave him in canada. how could you even consider letting him come over to the us and putting our children and our family and friends at risk when he decides to get drunk and then drive.
    we have enough drunks we don’t need anymore

    He’ll be fine. As you say, DUI is not moral turpitude. Ask me how I know ;)
