How about passing the bar after school? Will these offenses affect me?
There really shouldn’t be any reason why you wouldn’t be allowed to study in a law school, but it questionable if you would be allowed to take the Bar Exam … typically criminal records are looked down upon, but it also depends what kind of violations they are, how many, and (in your case) the disposition of guilt.
It depends on what school you are applying to.
I know that if you have a criminal record they strongly suggest that you contact your governing body (the State Bar that you would be applying to) to ask if you can be admitted to the Bar and be accredited by the various legal professional regulatory bodies.
All in all, you might want to look into getting pardon’s for those offences since that might also help but most schools will request reference letters and do a personal interview in order to judge character at which time you can explain to the interviewer that those are in the past and how you’ve made personal changes.
Yes of course. Getting a DUI doesnt make a bad person anc certainly not a bad student. Many, many people have had them. Violent or sexual felonies on your record would be the only thing that would effect your chances.
