Is the Arizona immigration law like the DUI laws?

So why are not pro drink drivers protesting as well.


If a cop sees a car driving all over the place and stops some guy and he looks intoxicated and stinks of alcohol then he can give him a sobriety test.

If a cop sees a car doing the same and stops a guy who has no license, registration, insurance and cant speak english isint that reasonable suspicon that he is an illegal.

    Why are the immigration laws consistently overlooked as being laws.
    Should people who break just one law not get in trouble for it?

    Because drunks are not arrested on sight.

    A drunk for instance can still report a rape, kidnapping, or robbery, without facing arrest himself. A drunk could witness such crimes and would not fear giving testimony. A person who witnessed such a crime wouldn’t have to fear that their drunk wife might be arrested when they try to report the crime.

    That is a good analogy. It is more or less just a restatement of federal law, so it really isn’t anything new.

    Your intelligence amazes me. First of all, Driving while intoxicated or driving under the influence has a higher possibility of killing a human being. SB1070 does not. Secondly, Not having a driver’s license does not establish your legal status in the Country. Do you know how many citizens drive without a drivers license, either becuase they have not yet gotten one or because is suspended? Thirdly, California has a specific requirement regarding insurance. That is, the insurance company reports directly to the DVM if a policy is active, expired or canceled. If said policy is expired or canceled, then the vehicle registration is suspended automatically by the DMV. And last but not least, not being able to speak english does not determine your legal status in the Country.

    Good point!
    Of course only 12,000 people a year are killed by drunk drivers (about 4,800 of those are caused by illegal aliens!) while illegal aliens kill 16,000 people every year!
    40% of DUI fatalities are caused by 6-7% of the population? A horrific a statistic! Wonder why la racist doesn’t have this statistic!

    Here in AZ of the people stopped that have no license, no registration and no insurance 97% are illegal aliens! Of course CA laws are much better! A mere 92% of the people stopped that have no license, no registration and no insurance are illegal aliens!

    Doesn’t it seem we are talking about the same people committing both offenses? MUST be racism! NOT!
