   you do have the right to apply…they also have the right to not hire you if they choose

   Yes, as long as your honest and you have good credit (this is true) and you haven’t gotten into trouble since, you can do it. You’ll also need 60 college units. Lots of cops have DUIs, just be honest when you fill out your apps.

   Check with the agency you are applying for. Each department can set its own restrictions.
