Her mother Kathy Hilton shouted out today in court that they were wasting taxpayers money on enforcing the law on her precious daughter. You & I would get 90 days in jail for driving on an unsuspended drivers license, she got only 45 days. Performing the DUI punishment is below her. She did not go to DUI school or do community service as prescribed by law.
Time and time again we see that celebrities, professional athletes, politicians and the rich get away with lesser or no punishment.
- O.J. Simpson got away with two murders.
- Ray Lewis got away with killing two people.
- Robert Blake – got out of prison despite the fact that he
murdered someone.
- Phil Spector will probably get away with his killing despite having a history of violence towards women.
- Bill Clinton got away with perjury. If you or I lie in front of a grand jury, we get five years.
- A lot of rappers and rockers get away with all types of gun violence, and drug crimes.
- A lot of CEO’s get away with fraud and "doctoring the books". The shareholders, employees, and pensioners get burned in these cases. Why does it take years to bring these corporate crooks to trial?
The only celebrity I can think of in recent memory, that was punished quite harshly was Martha Steward for her insider trading. She was a scapegoat in a sense.
There are two sets of laws. One for the rich and famous, and another set for you and I. They are very different.

The rich & famous cannot relate to us common folks. They are very isolated from reality and live in a fantasy world of their own. I think that she should have to do the full 90 days in jail. Yes it’s sad she didn’t get 90 days, but you know the really sad thing here? The fact that there’s a market for nonstop, 24-hours-a-day photographs of her. If she is spotted at Burger King, 9 billion paparazzi are there instantly knowing they’ll make money off of "Paris in the Drive-Thru" photos.
It’s this kind of crap that makes me lose faith in Americans. Why do we care so deeply about morons like this? Why does American Idol receive higher vote totals than fiercely contested Presidential elections with repercussions that affect EVERYONE? And of course, this is getting no press compared to Month Four of the exciting Anna Nicole Smith saga. Who cares!?!? She took drugs and died having made no important contribution to society. And yet people pray for her family and ask God to reveal the true father for the fate of the daughter blah blah blah blah blah… why aren’t you praying for people who really need it? Who deserve it!?!?! Don’t you realize there are people out there with real, legitimate problems?

yeah, I’ve read the article about her online, and I think it’s just not fair that she gets to have so much mercy just coz she is a rich gold digger. Seriuosly, she’s human so she should be treated as such. And anyway, she’s had so many warnings about speeding and drug use – so why now??
