But I'm curious because it affects so many of my new friends who go driving while "under the influence"...what are the penalties for getting caught and receiving an under-age DUI (driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol) in this state? What if you are also caught high or drunk in a car, but you were not the one driving it? Do you receive the same consequences as the person who was?

as far as being in the car but not as the driver, that would fall under Public Intoxication rather than DUI

yes you do everyone will get charge so it is just stupid to drink and drive or even being high and behinde the wheel . does it really matter it is people like that who kill people and you all should be locked up and sent through a medical examer office when they do a medical exam of a human body who has been killed by a drunk driver or one that was high on drugs
