I blew into the machine and they couldnt get a good reading, so they arrested me for suspision of drunk driving. The took me to jail and drew blood, booked me in, and jailed me for 7 hrs. I got a ticket and court date 12/22 and they let me go. They never told me what my BAC level was. I dont even know if I was over limit for sure. I have never been in trouble for anything at all. what should I expect now? should I get a lawyer?
I drove one hour and 60 miles before they pulled me over. I think I was target for some cowboy cops. Im actually starting to get pissed off about it and will fight it!!!!
I had less than 9 beers in 7 hours. I doubt I was .08%.......But I heard you can still be arrested even if they suspect it. The breath machine was inconclusive and they drew blood to see for sure. If my level was under .08 I will sue the police dept for making me stay 6 hrs in jail with a bunch of degenerates. I have been twice as drunk before lots of times and driven.....these chp's were cowboys and I will fight this crap
It depends. How drunk WERE you? As I recall, Like WA where I live, CA has a limit of 0.08, which you will be at if an average male drinking 3 stiff drinks in an hour. They should have told you, but be aware it takes time, days, to get the actual level from a blood sample. Do NOT believe what you see on the CSI shows. It takes DAYS for most tests done on blood, and weeks for DNA. Even if they push your sample to the head of the line, it still takes hours for blood alcohol, and days for DNA and toxins. I advise the lawyer route. And I concur with at least one other person, next time, WALK home… or get a cab… I impose my own personal limit, 2-12 ounce bottled beers, 1 mixed drink, NO MORE for my ody size and I will stay under the limit with no question. Any more, and I’m looking for a ride…
