I just received my first DUI in Orange County CA. My BAC was .20. What consequences am I looking at?
Received my first DUI last weekend. My BAC was .20 which is high. I am thinking of getting an attorney, but I would like to know if it is worth it. I would appreciate any advice.
Do I have to worry about jail time?
In Orange County California,
.20 + is an enhancement which requires 48 hours jail time, community service, and a 9 month alcohol program. Whether you actual go to jail for those additional 48 hours depends what court you’re out of and what judge you’re before.
Generally, when I get cases such as these, I try to get credit for time serve, try to get you out of the community service, and reduce the amount of alcohol school you’re looking at. Generally, it’s a “damage control” situation unless you can run a motion to dismiss.
DMV, well, DMV can be won with paperwork technicalities, so you never know if your DMV case can be won just on BAC levels.
You can always hire an experienced DUI attorney to try to get you out of the DUI, appear at court on your behalf, and minimize the impact of this DUI on your life.

For a first time DUI in Orange County, California, do I need to get an attorney?
I am going through a divorce and it’s really miserable at home as we are still under the same roof. After work, I stopped at CVS and bought a big bottle of rum and 2 2-ltr bottles of diet coke. I was planning on going home, but decided I wasn’t up to a fight. I pulled into a parking lot near my home and called a friend. While sitting and talking I made a couple of drinks. I knew that I would be walking home when the rain stopped. After sitting a couple of hours, cops appeared and proceeded to arrest me for DUI.
I don’t want any of my family members to know about this. I am awaiting a job transfer to Houston. I need to deal with this in a timely manner.
What is the best way to handle this?
i guess it depends on if youre pleading innocent or guilty. an attorney will be appointed to you if you want. dont know if there’s much you can do to get out of this though. i doubt you’ll face jail time unless the option of paying a fine or spending jail time is offered.

Orange County DUI Attorney, Can some body tell low fees and good DUI attorney on Orange County, CA?
My brother received a DUI 2 weeks ago in Orange County, CA. he doesn’t have any money and I am not going to loan it to him, but I would like to be able to give him any information that I can regarding attorneys in his area. Thank you.
Yeah, get a defense attorney. In California, the car has to move for it to be a DUI. You didn’t consume the alcohol until after you moved, so they’re going to have an evidence problem.
who is the best DUI attorney/lawyer in orange county CA?
I’ve interviewed many attorneys over the phone and three in person, who do I hire. Pleas tell me who you or a friend has used and what their result was. All the attorneys claim to be the best, who IS the best?
Caught Driving on Suspended License after DUI in Orange County,CA?
3 years ago I got charged with DUI and driving without a license. I went in front of a judge, paid all my fines, took the classes and learned my lesson. I still however don’t have a driver’s license and hadn’t been driving but a month ago I had to drive 3 nights and was pulled over one of them. My DUI probation wasn’t up until august this year so they impounded my car and gave me a citation for driving under a suspended license and I have to appear in court next week (to the window? in front of a judge?) What are the chances of me being put in jail? I don’t have money for an attorney so what can I do? can I go to the court without one or is that too risky?
