Need an Attorney for an Uncontested Divorce? Columbus, GA Has Many
Author: Clement Banner
If you need an attorney for an uncontested divorce, Columbus, GA has a great selection. Uncontested divorce in Georgia is on the rise. This is a divorce in which both parties agree on every term of the divorce, such as child custody issues and division of assets.
However, divorces are more likely to be uncontested when the couples have no children and very little assets. After all, when there is less at stake, there is less to disagree over. Nevertheless, some uncontested divorces in Columbus, GA, have involved couples - with children - who have amassed significant amounts of property.
You may think that because your divorce is uncontested you can go through the process without legal assistance; however, you would be mistaken to do so. Too many times, parties to a divorce just want to get through with the process and thus neglect to consider very important issues. What may seem to be an uncontested divorce may turn out to be hotly contested once critical issues are pointed out by legal counsel. This is not to say that an attorney will create contention, only that a lawyer may have a better understanding of the ramifications your choices could have.
Trying to save on attorney fees is not a good reason to avoid legal counsel. Your divorce will have a serious financial impact on you, and the money you spend on attorney fees will likely come back to you in the long run.
While an uncontested divorce requires only the filing of paperwork, the fact of the matter is that any mistake made on the papers could be detrimental and costly. You would be wise to have legal counsel file your papers for an uncontested divorce in Columbus, GA. An attorney will guide you through the process and ensure that all of your bases are covered.
GA dui attorney, who is the best DUI attorney/lawyer in GA?
As you can see from the other honest answers here, nobody likes a drunk behind the wheel. Yes, blowing a 09x puts you above most states’ .08. And you were just a-flying weren’t you.
Take your lumps, plead it out and do away with the DUI. That will screw you up for the rest of your life.
We all hope you have learned your lesson and don’t get in this kind of fix again, let alone having killed another person while doing it.
Recieved citations in GA for DUI, failure to maintain lane and speeding 95 in a 70.?
here is the evidence against me: 1) the cop that pulled me over wrote a statement which is a lie. 2) DUI info:PBT .097 cop administered 3 tests before placing me under arrest and also allowed me to get back into my car after the 1st 2 test-not from breathlyzer 5000 machine( i refused this test, due to other circumstances.) 3)a video- which my lawyer says plays to my favor. Here is what they are offering me if i plead guilty. 1)Reduce DUI to reckless driving 2)failure to maintain lane and speeding stand and totaling fees of $1050.00 so all together it is $4050.00 with lawyer fees. I believe i am innocent and my question is go or no go with the trial (6/09/2008). If you was a jury how would you view this? Guilty or not guilty? I would prefer honest answers and not people that are just being smart A’s! Thanks for your time!

Dui in GA two years ago…?
I’ll try to make a long story short… I got a DUI in Atlanta, Georgia over 2 years ago. I went to court, pled guilty, and went to my first probation meeting. I lived an hour and a half away from ATL at the time, and they wouldn’t transfer my case to my town.
Anyway, the next month, I came down with bronchitis (as did my roommate), and couldn’t leave the house. I had misplaced the slip of paper with my probation officer’s extension # written on it, and could NOT get through to her office. I called her numerous times. I didn’t know what to do, as it stated on my paperwork that if I missed a meeting, a warrant would be issued for my arrest.
Fast forward to this year, and it’s still not taken care of. I finally came out and told my boss, and we’ve called Sheriff’s Departments etc, trying to figure out what to do to resolve the situation.
Then, in August, a lady ran a red light and hit me. I was arrested for driving on a suspended license. I’m actually glad it happened, because it set everything in motion. I have a lawyer, and he told me to go take the Risk Reduction course (which I have done), and he got a copy of my citation from the Atlanta courthouse. He says that since it has been so long, and there was never a warrant issued for my arrest, that this is all I need to do to get my license reinstated. He says that the probation side doesn’t have anything to do with me getting my license reinstated. But I have to get my license reinstated by the time we go to court for the suspended license charge, otherwise it will be a mess.
I’m very much aware of the fact that I screwed up, guys. I made a huge mistake, and I’m doing everything I can to get it resolved. But if anyone has any advice, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you!
Thanks, y’all. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, and hope this is all over soon.
