The problem is that amount of substance needed to create this sense of euphoria goes on increasing with regular drinking.

Most people get into this habit as teenagers; it is peer pressure which drives the young to try it out. After that the strong willed stick to it as a social drink, but the weak hearted start abusing it for its euphoric effects.

The sad part is not all incidents of drunk driving are caused by chronic alcoholics, some have just tried alcohol for the first time or are social drinkers. The truth being that if you are an occasional drinker it doesn't make you immune from causing accidents while driving drunk.

I got DUI last year. And I am currently laid off. I am in probation. Can I get job in Information Technology Permanent or as a Contractor. If I can get it what are the ways to do it. Texas.
More than likely the police can tell you the date of your DUI arrest and may be able to give you a case number. Somewhere in CA you will be able to access a court that can tell you the information you seek. It is more than likely on a computer system somewhere. You will have to appear in person with relevant ID and you may have to fill in some paperwork to gain all of the details you seek. The court computer system may show the basic details but may not show all of the details contained inside your case file.
You will most likely have to pay a processing fee to access those details.
Try the police station first. It is the easiest way to go.
DUI laws vary greatly from state to state, as do the length of time of the driving suspension. In some states, you will be required to surrender your license on the spot. In others, the suspension is an administrative suspension, and is issued by your department of motor vehicles.
I hope you did not go and deal with this charge without an attorney. If you did, then you may be depriving yourself of a chance that the DUI didn’t need to be admitted, and there are a multitude of things that the police have to do in order to convict you of DUI.
If you don’t have an attorney, go and get one, immediately. Describe the situation, and explain what you are wanting to do, (including move) Listen to their advice. You might want to shop around, to make sure the attorney has experience in DUI defense. It will cost some money, but compared to the results a DUI can have on your record, its money well spent. If you don’t have an attorney and need one, contact your local or state bar association for a referral for an attorney who practices DUI defense.
Forget about the ridiculous “no one read me my rights” line, everyone says that. And since you’re under 21, any measurable alcohol is a DUI (if you were at .16, you were DOUBLE the legal limit). You will lose your license until you’re 21 (at least), have a huge fine, alcohol school and will have attent at least six AA meetings as well as being on probation. Some people will suggest getting a lawyer but I can assure you all it will do is have you go first in court, the fines will be the same. Just go to court and take your punishment. You won’t go to jail and it’s possible, when you meet with your counselor after, to have it set up so you can drive to and from work. No one being injured has nothing to do with anything. The DUIs for people under 21 are worse than for people over, so you’re going to have a rough year.

Yes you can.
Just apply as you would normally.
The only time the DUI will become an issue is if you are required to drive as part of your job.
How can i retrieve information from a DUI i received 7 years ago?
here are a few of things that might help with your response:
1) i live in CA
2) i was 19 at the time of the incident
3) i would like to know exact date, time, fines (since my lawyer took care of everything i did not have to show up to court, pay fines, etc)
