Whether or not you lose your job is entirely dependent upon your employer.

Can my family or friends find out about my guilty plea?

longer jail time. where you married at the time? why are you not stopping him from drinking and driving or helping him with court dates?

  3. ahsoasho2u2 says:

Under Washington’s laws for a DUI, R.C.W. 46.61.503, you were arrested. You were let go within an hour?
What did you register for alcohol content? (DUI is a gross misdemeanor offense)
Find a lawyer who does DUI cases and consult with them also, if you were under 21 another code of the RCW applies.

What are the penalties for DUI in Washington state?
My ex-husband got two DUI’s in January 2008. He skipped a summer court date and got warrants. He went to court and was given a new court date in mid-October. In early October, he was arrested again, possibly for a third DUI, I’m not sure, it may have been driving without a license. He skipped his mid-Oct. court date and got warrants again. Now he’s in jail and has court early next month. Any ideas what he’s gonna get?
Lillie, I will not help him because he’s my ex-husband. We were married seven years and he was emotionally and verbally abusive, a liar, cheater, drug addict, and alcoholic. While we were still married I did everything in my power to help him every possible way I knew how… but he’s on his own now.
LOL goGotro… yes, he’s white, no he’s not rich. He cleans up pretty well for court but he’s been in jail for two weeks now… do they let you shave in jail? I don’t know, never been there, nor do I need to shave… : )

  5. Katie B says:

Is it possible to get rid of a DUI in Washington State?
If someone got a DUI in 2002, hasn’t been in trouble since, and completed all requirements for a deferred prosecution, is there a way to seal, destroy, vacate or expunge this from their record, to prevent any trouble in the future with pre-employment background checks?

The charge was dismissed with prejudice.

I’m looking through court information, but I don’t really understand this legalese. Any help is appreciated.

  6. Aaron says:

Passenger in a DUI, Washington State. Information on other state would be appreciated.?
Although this doesn’t matter in a legal sense, in any case I would not let someone I know who is drunk drive me. I would either be too drunk to realize or I would think my friend isn’t that drunk. What would happen if my friend got a DUI and I was a passenger in the car under the following circumstances:

    A. I am drunk, very very drunk.
(I think that I get public intoxication)
    B. I am buzzed.
    (The probable scenario)
    B. I am perfectly sober.

    Thank you!

  7. Mr. X says:

You would not be charged with anything unless you are in possession of an open bottle/container or alcohol or not behaving in a good manner.

  8. kara5515 says:

How much is a DUI lawyer in washington state?
Just curious how much they usually tend to ask for as a retainer fee (initial money down). This would be for the North Seattle area. Not this person’s first DUI.

  9. linmeg7 says:

Will i have to go to jail for my first dui in Washington State?
I was taken to the station for about an hour and then let go, but will they put me in jail when i go to court? Will they do electronic monitoring instead and if so how does that work? Can you leave the house to go to work?

  10. samdoberman says:

Good lawyers aren’t cheap and cheap lawyers aren’t good. for a second DUI, you can expect to pay between $2k and $7k. This will probably not include trial.

As for initial money down, it depends on the lawyer. Some will accept payments, and others don’t.
