Caught with DUI? Well, its time to get serious! There are certain things that you need to keep in mind so that in the future you stay away from those charges and can keep your driving record clean. DUI offence is established when it is proving that you were under the influence of alcohol or any other form of substance in the level that is higher than what it should be, while driving. Generally, if you are caught with alcohol blood content higher than 8% while driving, then it is proving that you have conducted the offense and the details will be placed in the DUI records of the state.
Consuming alcohol or taking drugs weaken the senses, and if you take such a substance and drive, then you are posing a serious threat to others while trying to drive a vehicle. This is a serious offense, and you could end up paying serious penalties such as imprisonment, suspension of license, steep insurance premiums, permanent DUI records, etc. If, you have already been caught with DUI offense once, then it is high time that you take proper measures not to repeat the same mistake again and maintain a good driving record.
You might be required to go through background check for any purpose, whether it is for your job or anything else. During the background checks, if it is found that you are convicted with DUI offense then it surely not going to provide a good impression. Try to have clean driving record before any such background check is conducted. Now, the question is how you can do that. What’s the point of a DUI check if newspapers advertise where they will be located in the future?
Doesn’t that defeat the entire purpose of trying to catch intoxicated people when you let them know what areas to avoid?
I’m not a Liberal, but when in doubt, follow the constitution, in this case, the 4th and 5th Amendments.

Not here, but your community’s laws might differ.
Checkpoints are a totalitarian abomination, and are a total violation of the US Constitution. The Supreme Court had to literally “tie the law in a pretzel” (to quote the dissent) in order to find a way to pretend that they were not a violation of the 4th amendment.
One of the ways they did so was to require that drivers be given ‘general notice’ of planned checkpoints so that the argujment could be made that by driving in an area where the police have said they’ll run checkpoints, a driver can be asserted to have “consented” to the stop.
One of the primary differences between a free country and a totalitarian one is that in a free country a citizen peacably going about his business doesn’t have to worry about suddenly being stopped and shaken down by the cops “just in case” he “might” have broken a law.

They do post them in the paper I have seem them before. I do not remember where in the paper I found it! AND I do not drink! I am curious as to where the info is available….not that you have the right to judge me.

CA: Two illegal’s groups are angry that over half of cars impounded at DUI check points belong to illegals with no insurance, because they are poor and cannot afford insurance. What about us poor Americans who can’t afford insurance because we are out of jobs due to illegals taking them.

They aren’t posted in the paper, duh! Why are you drinking and driving anyway? Do you really feel like killing someone’s mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter, etc…etc….

What you read in the paper was probably right before a big holiday weekend, such as Memorial Day. The paper or news will interview the State Patrol (or others) and they will flat out say where they’ll be, for one thing they’ll be busing people left and right and be stretched very thin so it’s like “Hey dummies, this is where we’ll be if you want to take a chance”. HOWEVER, on any given weekend they are not going to be announcing it. The majority of the time, it is not announced.
